Aloha Cory, From The Kings Gardens Maui.
Here are the ease to follow driving Directions

"Please Read Them Carefully"
We are a conservation location in the tropical rainforest and as such
there is no physical address number. But we are super easy to find!
WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE 810 HAIKU ROAD ADDRESS!
This is only a suppliers address & not the location of the gardens.

ON THE DAY OF YOUR TOUR
Please text us upon departure of your accommodations.
Please include the name you booked with and the number of persons in your party.
text to: (808) 633-2889

THE DRIVING DIRECTIONS
We suggest for your ease of use to have these directions printed out and with you as
you drive to the location.

THE Address to enter into your map or GPS: in order to get on the right road is:
69 ULALENA LOOP, HAIKU, HAWAII 96708
BUT THIS IS NOT OUR ADDRESS, but this will get you onto our road, Ulalena Loop.
Once on Ulalena we are the very first driveway on the left. normally the guide will be at the start of the driveway
to greet you.If not 20 feet in on the driveway is a white art deco
angel statue on the right side of the entrance.

Ulalena Loop is a rustic, unimproved county road with tall grass on each side.
Please drive slowly on Ulalena Loop and show your aloha to other drivers and
pedestrians who may be on the road.

NOTE: There are two possible turns from Hana Hwy onto Ulalena Loop, ours is the
western one. When driving from central Maui this will be the FIRST possible place to
turn left onto Ulalena Loop.

If you are arriving via UBER or LYFT please make sure to have these directions printed
out and with you. Make sure when they drop you off that they stay with you until you
know for sure you are in the right place. Please make sure the driver is returning to pick
you up, approximately two hours from the start of the tour.

Normally your guide will be at the start of the driveway to greet you. If the guide is not
there, then simply drive in only 80 feet and park in the parking area on the left. Please park
as far to the left as you can, and pull in as straight as you can so other guests can drive
in behind you and have room to park.

Though this is a safe area we kindly ask that you do not leave valuables in your car and
lock your car while you are on the hike.

If you want us to arrange a ride back to where you are staying there is an added
donation of $199 round trip. You will need to
book this one day in advance please.

Another way to find The Kings Gardens
After you pass Paia town just continue driving for about 15 minutes and you will notice
that the mile markers will go to Mile 16 and then they will start over again at Mile 0.
Once you see the the Mile 1 marker, our road is the second road on the left, called
Ulalena loop.

PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME
Kindly note: you must arrive on time, preferably at least 15 minutes before your tour is
scheduled to start. For the 10:00 AM tour please arrive by 9:45 AM. For the 2:00 PM
tour please arrive by 1:45 PM.

IF YOU ARE LATE
Please text us at (808) 633-2889
We will wait a reasonable amount of time if you are able to arrive close to the scheduled
start of your tour. If you arrive late and tour has already begun, the chain across the
driveway will be up and locked. It is not fair to the other guests on the tour to have to
wait for you. If the tour has begun without you we can try to reschedule you, or can give
you a credit for your your next visit to Maui. Or, best case scenario, you will gain the
inner happiness of having made a donation to a good cause. As the donations are for a
good and charitable cause and given freely as a gift to our non-profit here on Maui over
99% of people who make a donation have never asked for them back. We hope that
you too will share in this same spirit of giving.

YOUR GUIDE
Our guides are rated as the best in Hawaii. They are funny, knowledgeable and caring.
They will make the magic of the gardens come alive! Ensuring that the time you are at
the gardens is a memorable and fun one.
97% of the visitors to the gardens love to show their aloha to their guide in the form of a
gratuity. The normal tip is between $20 to $100 and on up.
Many of our guides receive $100.00 dollar tips on a regular basis. And why not?! The
gardens is amazing and so are they! So remember to bring some cash and show your
aloha to your guide. The best time is just before they walk you back up to your car.
‘
WHAT TO WEAR
1. Shoes you can hike in that have traction, such as sneakers or hiking sandals.
2. A light long sleeve shirt, light long pants.
3. Bug spray & a rain coat are handy items to have with you.
This is the best way to go into these tropical jungle areas of Maui.
If you do not have these items it is okay, but it is really best that you do. It will make your
time much more fun and comfortable! Also, in all areas of Maui such as these waterfall
areas on the road to Hana, or in the Iao Valley, you will need these things.
In all of these lush tropical areas you will encounter mosquitoes, so we highly suggest
you bring strong bug spray. If you can please purchase one that is eco-friendly, but if
you can't find that then just bring what you can.
Spray up right when you get to the location. Spray on all areas of your body that are not
covered up. If you have mesh pants spray all areas that are mesh. Spray into the palms
of your hands in order to then pat your neck, face and ears. Remember to keep the
spray away from your eyes. and bring it with you on the hike so you can spray up if
needed while hiking.

THE WATERFALL
On this fun and fascinating hike you are guaranteed to see the lovely sacred Waterfall of
the Gardens. As a special bonus: your guide will share with you about a second
waterfall location that is only a two minute drive away. So you get to see two waterfalls
in one day! Ours at the Gardens and at the other at second location. All without the long
winding, crowded drive to Hana! (Though Hana is amazingly wonderful too and well
worth the drive.)

The SECOND waterfall location is where you can swim. Our waterfall and pool are
deemed under conservation and are used for agriculture and human consumption. So
we do not have swimming at this location. Sometimes you might see people that have
snuck in and are swimming at our pool, but know but they are not suppose to be there.
If you decide to visit the second waterfall location, you will need to wade through a
stream about hip deep to get to the pool, so be ready to wear clothing you can either get
wet or roll up high. In all waterfall areas swimming is always weather permitting. They
might be un-swimmable due to flash floods when there are heavy mountain rains. On
the bright side even if you can't swim, you will still have seen two beautiful waterfalls in
one day!

THE RESTROOM * IMPORTANT *
This is a jungle rainforest adventure and we do not have a restroom. We strongly
suggest that you use the restroom at Jaws Country Store before you arrive at our
location. Jaws Country Store is located on Hana Hwy just five minutes before you arrive
at our location.

IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND
We kindly ask that you text us ASAP at (808) 633-2889, either the day before or the day
of your hike by 7:00 AM.
Thank you again for your kind donation. Know that you are amongst the most
remarkable people in the world, as it is those who want to help a good cause first and
foremost who make this planet a great place to live. We thank you for being a part of a
restoring and preserving a living legacy on Maui. Thank you so so much for helping a
good cause here in Hawaii. A place that inspires, heals and fills life with beautiful
memories that will last a lifetime!
Have an amazing rest of the day!

Aloha from all of us at The Kings Gardens Maui
